A hauteur des yeux, un os de poulet est suspendu à une épingle par le biais d’un élastique. A ses côtés un œil animal, se décomposant, repose sur une fine plaque de métal.
L’os de poulet, la furcula, est aussi appelé l’os du bonheur ou l’os du souhait [une coutume enfantine prétend que la personne ayant obtenu le plus petit morceau, après avoir tiré de chaque côté jusqu’à ce que l’os se brise, voit son souhait se réaliser]. Épinglé sur le mur, il est le mémo, l’outil de l’atelier accroché entre deux clous, l’arme dont on n’a qu’à se saisir. Le délicat ‘lance-pierre’ a atteint un œil: celui à ses côtés; si il est devenu trophée, l’oeil peut également être un projectile en attente.
Le titre a été repris du livre Friedrich Nietzsche, Ainsi parlait Zarathoustra.
L’oeuvre découle d’une performance où un œil, contenu dans le poing d’une main, était lancé dans une fontaine rappelant les pièces qu’on lance pour réaliser un souhait ou porter chance.

At eye level, a chicken bone is suspended a pin via an elastic band. At his side an animal eye, decomposing, rests on a thin metal plate.
The chicken bone, the furcula, is also called the bone of happiness or the bone of wish [a childish custom claims that the person having obtained the smallest piece, after pulling on each side until the bone breaks, see his wish come true].Pinned to the wall, it is the memo, the workshop tool hanging between two nails, the weapon which one has only to grab hold of. The delicate ‘slingshot’ has reached an eye: the one at his side; if it has become trophy, the eye may also be a pending projectile..
The title was taken from Friedrich Nietzsche's book, Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The work stems from a performance in which an eye, contained in the fist of a hand, was thrown into a fountain reminiscent of the coins one throws to grant a wish or bring good luck.
