De manière illusoire, l’installation laisse croire à la présence de Brigitte Bardot nue derrière un drap et convoite, instinctivement, les spectateurs à regarder derrière; où ils trouvent l’impression du buste de l’actrice, à la limite de sa poitrine fixée à un trépied.

Face à elle, un extrait d’une vidéo empruntée sur Youtube (une femme, Vida Movahed, est montée sur une armoire électrique, brandissant un bâton sur lequel et attaché un voile blanc) est mis en boucle, sans son à un smartphone avec pour coque le drapeau iranien ; maintenu à un trépied adéquat, au centre d’un anneau lumineux.
 
L’assemblage entre le drap et Brigitte Bardot est la reproduction d’une scène du film de Roger Vadim Et dieu créa la femme. L’intérêt pour l’oeuvre Étant donné de Marcel Duchamp a participé à l’élaboration de cette pièce (pour l’assemblage «théâtral», la mise en scène, le jeu d’optique, le voyeurisme,...).
 
L’installation questionne le statut de la femme, la culture de l’injonction et de l’oppression aux corps féminins par les diktats esthétiques et religieux; la fonction première, d’une femme, être désirable ou un objet de désir ?

In an illusory way, the installation lets believe in the presence of Brigitte Bardot naked behind a sheet and instinctively covets the spectators to look behind; where they find the impression of the bust of the actress, at the limit of her chest fixed to a tripod.

In front of her, an excerpt from a video borrowed from Youtube (a woman, Vida Movahed, mounted on an electrical cabinet, brandishing a stick on which and attached a white veil) in looped, without sound in a smartphone; on a tripod in the center of a luminous ring with the Iranian flag as case.

The assembly between the bed sheet and Brigitte Bardot is the reproduction of a scene from Roger Vadim’s film Et dieu créa la femme. Interest in the work Étant donné by Marcel Duchamp  participated in the development of this piece (for the “theatrical” assemblage, the staging, the optical game, voyeurism, ...).

The installation questions the status of women, the culture of injunction and oppression of female bodies by aesthetic and religious diktats; the primary function of a woman, to be desirable or an object of desire ?
